Suzette Manigault is Making a Difference in the Lives of Kids While Raising Funds for the New Deltona Arts Center.

Deltona resident, Suzette Manigault teaches kids to dance for free to give them a place to go so they are not out on the street, running in gangs and getting in trouble.

Recently, Soul Sonic Youth Dancers, Kraze Dance Crew and Lil Lissy under the direction of Suzette Manigault did a benefit at the Deltona Arts Center. The full house was “blown away” by the singing, dancing and acting talents of the kids. Their variety show included tributes to Michael Jackson, favorites from the fifties and more. This is one of many fund raisers to build the New Deltona Arts Center, a 30 million dollar state of the art facility. The new arts center will feature a 1500 seat opera hall, banquet hall, art gallery, dance rehearsal rooms, art rooms and recording studios.

While funding will come from other sources, community involvement is crucial. Lloyd Marcus, president of Deltona Arts Center says, “No contribution or fund raiser is too small. From bake sales to car washes, they all help to send the message that this is what we, as a community, want and are doing it together”. Lloyd Marcus may be reached at 954-934-9588.

*NOTE- KRAZE DANCE CREW The only kids representing Deltona at the Semi Finals for Volusia's Search for the Stars talent show in Daytona at Daytona's Symphony Society on Saturday, October 10th, 2009. These kids are great and can go all the way to the finals and win...first place $2,000,second place $1,500, and third place $500. We wish them all the best win or lose they are all stars in our eyes...
